Module Installation

To install modflickr log into your Joomla! site's administrator panel wih Super Administrator privliges and install it as you would any other 3rd party Joomla! module.

  1. From the top menu select Extensions > Install/Uninstall.

  2. Browse to and select your modflickr module zip file that you downloaded.

  3. Click on Upload file and install.

Module setup

To set up modgallery to show photographs and images from your local filesystem using the JQuery Galleryview layout follow these simple steps:

Module parameters section
  1. Select the folder you'd like to select images from, from the dropdown list.
    N.B.
    If Joomla 1.5.x then upload your image folders to the images/stories/ folder.
    If Joomla 1.6.x then upload your image folders to the images/ folder.

  2. Select the Basic layout from the dropdown list.

  3. Select the thumbnail photo size from the dropdown list.
    You can select from the following sizes: square (75px x 75px); thumbnail (100px x 75px); small (240px x 180px).

  4. Select the large photo size from the dropdown list.
    You can select from the following sizes: medium (500px x 375px); large (1024px x 768px); original (the original dimensions of your images).

  5. You can limit how many images you want to display.

  6. Select the sort order of your images.
    You can select from the following: A-to-Z; Z-to-A; Latest First; Oldest First.

Advanced parameters section - Galleryview Options
  1. Select whether or not to show the main image panel.
    Using the Galleryview layout you can elect to show the main image panel and thumbnails, just the main image panel, or just the thumbnail strip.

  2. Select whether or not to show the thumbnails strip.
    Using the Galleryview layout you can elect to show the main image panel and thumbnails, just the main image panel, or just the thumbnail strip.

  3. Select where to position the thumbnails strip.
    You can choose from top, bottom, left or right.

  4. Select the thumbnails navigation theme.
    You can choose from Dark or Light.

  5. Select the scaling option for thumbnail images.
    N.B. crop = scale image and fit to aspect ratio determined by thumbnail width and thumbnail height, nocrop = scale image and preserve original aspect ratio.

  6. Select how big a gap you want to have between your thumbnail images, in pixels.

  7. Select the pointer size you'd like to use.

  8. Select which panel you'd like to start the slideshow at.

  11. Select the transition speed of the main image panels from the dropdown box.

  12. Select the transition interval between the main image panels from the dropdown box.

  13. Select whether or not to show the image filename as an overlaid title on the main image panels.

  14. Select whether to show the title at the top or bottom of the main image panels.

  15. Select the opacity of the title overlay from the dropdown box.

  16. Select the easing style of the panel transitions

  17. Select the scaling option for main panel images.

  18. Select whether or not to fade from one panel to the next.

  19. Select whether or not to pause the slideshow on mouseover.

Other parameters section
  1. You can select whether or not to show the module's logo.
    Although you can switch the logo off we'd of course appreciate if you left it in place to provide a visual link back to Bulletproof Templates.
